Die Bluesrockformation gründete sich 1980 in Berlin. Ab 1986 war man Profikapelle. Die LP ”Überdruck” kam unter die ersten drei der ”LP des Jahres” 1987. 1988 verließ Kriese die Band, für ihn kam Ulrich Kersten (dr). Die Jonathan Blues Band spielt einen rockigen Blues, der inspiriert von Johnny Winter oder Stevie Ray Vaughn ist.
